The Sun has got his...

Marks & Spencer

 Vogue Greetings Card

 Accessorize

I have always liked hats; they are one of those things that are just fun to try on. No dressing up box is complete without some wonderful old floppy moth-eaten hat. They are the signature accessory of any outdoor occasion where celebration manifests itself. I happen to now own two sun hats with the romantic vision of recreating the scene on the front of the Vogue card above. It's such a beautiful and elegant image and I think the hat makes it.

Cute

Anyone that knows me will know all about my obsession and love for Pugs. I don't know what it is about their little screwed up faces, I just love them. So naturally I was very excited to see them featured in the latest LV campaign. I almost forgot to mention the bags, which are nearly as cute.

Grey

Still love these shoes. They are so simple but just gorgeous, I just love the cheeky flash of leopard print at the base of the heel.

Full Bloom

Shorts- River Island

How lovely are these little bloomers...yes another 'holiday' purchase. Also me desperately hoping that the sun will appear for longer than a few hours. Oh the English Summer!

Crackle

Bought this beaut in the Topshop Sale...having to look away from everything else I wanted to get my little mits on. It was tough!! I love the antique crackled effect on the stone, its such an 'Anna' ring.

Pretty Tidy

I bought this lovely Scandinavian Style soup mug last summer from Anthropologie on Regent Street. I was instantly drawn to it -picturing it as the perfect receptacle for some steamy homemade soup.  However I have just found a much better use for it; storing some of my many large rings!

Some of my Beauty Essentials

Here are just a few of my favourite make-up products at the moment.

1. Clinique- Even Better Foundation in 08 Beige 2. No7 Shine Free Primer 3. No7 Skin Illuminator
 4. Natural Collection Lash Definition Mascara- Black 5. Illamasqua Powder Eye Shadow- Gimp
6. M.A.C Four Palette Colours- Mulch, Mystery, Shroom & Taupe

I tend to change my foundation every few months as my skin seems to change depending on the weather. At the moment I'm really liking Clinique 'Even Better', it gives medium coverage and a lovely summery dewy finish for that effortless natural look. I like to use the No 7 primer if I fancy having a more matte result. It is hypoallergenic too, which is great as I can react to some primers.
As you can see the No7 Skin Illuminator is well used! I like to put in on under foundation for a radiant effect or after on cheeks and nose for a lovely summery glow. Oh and it looks amazing as a highlighter on the collar bone. As for the Natural Collection mascara it's a real bargin and great on my short pathetic lashes, (I always think the cheaper mascaras' are best). Illamasqua's eye shadow in Gimp is the bet black eyeshadow I have come across, due to the highly pigmented formula, fantastic for a smokey eye and mixed with colours from my M.A.C palette.

Truffle Folds & Amber

I almost forgot all about this necklace until I recently bought this amber wrap dress in Toppers on Tuesday and they go perfectly together. I have been back and forth to London lately with an internship and interviews etc. To pass the time before my train I spent some bday vouchers. 'It's for my holiday' is my new favourite excuse for any new purchase. This dress is the most comfortable thing I have bought in a long time and teemed with this Hoss Intropia necklace, its a match made in accessory heaven.

Birthday Wrist Candy

Lets say I was more than a little bit excited to receive this gorgeous watch, thanks Matt aka the boyf. He did well (yet again). The links are ceramic, giving it a lovely luxurious yet delicate feel despite it weighing a tonne. The rose gold colour is what did it for my though, a beaut.

No Time Like The Present.

Welcome,

This is my (new) blog CloveNotes! I have been notoriously bad at keeping my blog up-to-date in the past. But I hereby wish to change my lazy blog posting ways and fill this blog with a delightful array of treats for the eye. Enjoy...
